Our guest (now friend), Susan, painted the beautiful watercolor shown above. She made the painting into note cards with the following caption:
This card shows The Green Parrot, where I stayed for a month in the summer. It is a commodious house on Whidbey Island, Washington, with a beautiful view over Puget Sound to the Olumpic Range beyond, wonderful sunsets and a special tree where eagles come to perch. Each of my children came to spend a few days with me, as well as a nephew, four grandchildren and four friends. The natives were friendly and the pace of life a welcome change from the big city.
